Many of those names honored God by including a form of His name in the name. They often ended in -"ah" honoring "Jehovah" or -"el" honoring "El Shaddai" ("God Almighty"). I point this out not to preach but to help underscore the origin. So if you understand the purpose of the name, it helps you to spell it.

Some Biblical names ending in -"ah": Isaiah, Jeremiah. Some ending in -"el": Joel, Michael. See the pattern?
