my guess is they are playing it by ear to see how he feels. I'd say that's a decently good sign since if a scan found something wrong they would have announced a change by now. It's probably a day-to-day thing right now, but that is just me reading the tea leaves.
I agree that we really need him. Joven will most likely get the start if he can't go, but he's definitely a poor man's version of LaPlante. He's serviceable if he can locate his pitches, but he has only really done that once this year.
