Going with the legacy, TN native, former star player, who was successful on a smaller stage. Sounds kinda like Kim Anderson, although MO State is a solid D1 program and not D2. There were clearly more accomplished coaches out there, but without the TN ties. Sometimes these things work out, sometimes not.
As you said, the question now becomes can she retain their highly touted incoming freshman class, and the next few classes in the pipeline who have verbally committed but not signed their LOIs yet.
And in general, yes, we need a couple high quality transfers in the worst way to prevent us from taking a step back in the first season of the post-Sophie era. Preferably one point guard (the Marquette kid?) and one front court player. Plus the big JUCO. That’s all. Thanks in advance, Santa.
