Blue I find all the time and effort you put into your posts on WBB enjoyable and well reasoned.
I do not think a higher seed would have been much help to this years team .
I doubt there were many teams left in the round of 32 they would have been favored against or beaten. I would say they were fortunate to have gotten by Drake.
The silly ( and predictable ) fouls by 4 year starters were mind boggling.
The team had no depth ( especially at guard ).
They lacked quickness and were always prone to live ball turnovers ( especially traveling calls).
It is for sure the end of an era of sorts and I for one am kinda happy to see a new one as this group had reached it ceiling probably some time last season. It grew increasingly difficult to watch this team and expect a high level of play.
This comment will probably not be shared by many, but I viewed Cunningham’s play this season as often disappointing, and at times overrated.
