I did a cruise with a 4 day land package

Stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and glacier bay. All were very cool. We would walk around the towns, hit up a park (Mendenhall glacier was so cool), rented a car and drove into Canada (Skagway), have a beer.
We then did the train up to Denali. It was fine, but i had very high expectations for the train so it was a let down. Still enjoyed it.
In Denali, we did the bus tour through the park. Very informal with instructions to yell out when you see an animal where they would stop. Saw grizzlies, caribou, a wolf, and a few other creatures. We went in 100 miles to an observatory. It was a cool day. We then went to the other side of the park near Talkeetna. I went fishing and the family went on a jet boat ride and we met up in town later that day. It was a nice place. The TV show Northern Exposure was based on this town.
That was a very fun vacation
