I would stay away from the bus tours. They always looked like a ripoff to me. You can just fly in to Anchorage and rent a car. Take a drive over to Seward. Very scenic drive with plenty of places to stop and hike around and explore along the way. They have a pretty cool Kenai Fjords tour there that I did several years ago. If you're into fishing there are tons of guided fishing trips you can take. The drive up to Fairbanks is nice too.
