The confeeence went 20-2 yesterday, the only losses being 7 LSU losing to 22 Oregon 8-5, and 19 TAMU losing to Liberty 4-2. The latter is not an awful loss, Liberty is tough. But TAMU is showing signs the coaches had it right in picking them near the bottom of the SEC. They also barely got by McNeese yesterday, 2-1.

Other notable results:

4 Florida beat 16 Arizona St 7-2, but barely got by an 0-8 Illinois St team 2-1. Strange.

8 Alabama is struggling to score runs. They beat New Mexico 1-0, and South Florida 2-0. New Mexico was 14-39 last year and picked to finish dead last in the Mountain West this year.

6 Tennessee had a nice day, whipped 24 Notre Dame 8-0 and beat a good Minnesota team 4-2.

7 LSU bounced back and had a nice win over 12 Texas 7-1, although they did not face their ace Elish.

And in non SEC news, the Oregon bandwagon came to a crushing halt as they got hammered by 25 James Madison 9-1. Megan Good made her first appearance in nearly 2 years and totally shut down the Ducks offense which had been putting up numbers on everyone else.
