In softball, #9 SC loses again today...

to unranked North Carolina, 4-0.
They limp out of the first weekend with a 3-2 record that could easily have been 0-5.
They barely beat BYU 4-3, Duke 3-2, and needed to rally from behind in the 7th inning to beat Notre Dame 7-4.
Not sure why they rated a top 10 ranking to start the year. They won’t have to worry about that happening again for awhile, if ever. Of the ranked SEC teams at the start of the year, SC, Auburn, Kentucky, and TAMU all stumbled coming out of the gate.
