Yeah, you couldn’t have scripted a better debut...

after all the turmoil and uncertainty here. It’s only 2 of 56 games, and we don’t know if ASU is overrated or not. Buts it’s a great start any way you look at it. More importantly it has to build confidence in these 18-20 year old girls, both confidence in themselves and confidence in their coach.
Regardless of what happens after this, I think we are going to see this team compete hard every game, execute well, and play great defense. I was impressed with so much yesterday, particularly with the pitching and especially Gasper. With 5 games in 3 days, and 4 in just over a 24 hour period, we are going to see some of the other pitchers and see what kind of depth we have there. Also impressed with getting key hits with runners on base and in scoring position, that has been an issue for several years now, way too many runners LOB. If that turns around too this could be a very successful season.
