MU won 11 regular season games in 1978 and made it

Finished the regular season losing 7 of our last 8 games.

Similarly in 1993 we won only 16 regular season games and made it, losing 7 in a row before closing out the season with a win on senior night against Colorado.

With the automatic tourney bid, every team is still in it until they lose their last game. We had only won 13 regular season games in 1997, but a win over ku in the Big 12 championship game would have punched our ticket. Unfortunately we lost the game 87-60 and didn't even make the NIT.
