Haith/Fuller's probation meant that even another crooked coach was going experience rough sailing for a while, and it was going to be far worse for a guy who came in intending to do things in a straightforward manner.
Competing against schools who were as slimy or worse than Haith/Fuller, dealing with returnees and recruits who suddenly would no longer be receiving impermissible benefits, living daily with Mizzou's black eye from the campus turmoil. Nonetheless Kim took his lumps, stayed the course, and then was shown the door when a potential Porter family - Cuonzo deal was brought to his 3rd AD in 3 years, Jim Sterk's attention.
I'm actually glad for all concerned that things turned out the way they did. The program got the cleansing it so badly needed and Kim was fortunate enough to land a comparable job to the one that he left in 2014. He's free there just to coach basketball, no longer having to take insults from people who haven't got 1/10th his decency or knowledge of the game.
