the ideas about how to keep him out of foul trouble. Specifically, the idea to not start him and let him come in a little later.
At the start of last season, I was widely blasted for suggesting a few things...
1. Tilmon was going to be a foul problem...even Martin had said so.
2. Jontay was a better player than Tilmon.
3. If Tilmon is going to be in foul trouble, he should not start so that he does not get a cheap foul or two during those early minutes where the refs are trying to establish their control over the game.
Virtually everyone on Tigerbored said this was wrong yet all 3 have been proven true beyond the shadow of a doubt.
At some point, you all just have to accept that I know what the fvck I'm talking about or just revel in being wrong.
And now that everybody seems to be considering the "don't start Tilmon" idea, I'm here to tell you that as circumstances have changed from last year to this year, I can make a case that that idea is wrong for this season. We aren't going to win much anyway, so if he screws up and costs us a game or two, it will not matter like it did have last year. It is worth serious consideration to just let him keep playing and effing learn something as opposed to yanking him in and out.
Ahead of the curve, as always.
