took 7 shots, but still shot almost 50% from the field up until his jr year.

And if you look across all his stats, everything else went down as he starting shooting 3's, averaging 6 3pt attempts per game.

I just don't see it as an area that "was not possible to improve in" or is it a good example as such. He just starting shooting 3's, something he was already pretty good at, but wasn't asked to do in games.
