Some bad luck along the way (Finucane), some that didn't develop - Stangel never truly contributed as a solid pitcher at UW but certainly did at the plate.
Erwin...I don't really remember the circumstances of her transfer at the time.
Baumgartner had her moments but kinda plateaued - at least to my untrained eye.
Lowary...that transfer hurt. Conrad...too soon to know for sure.
Ultimately, you are right. Gotta have dominant arms to compete at the highest level. Aside from freshmen year Finucane and Lowary, it's been an exercise in holding our breath on the mound since Chelsea Thomas left.
