average American eats about 56 pounds of corn and corn products per year. Which is about 2.8% of an American's average diet. The average yield of corn in America is 130 bushels so an average acre feeds the corn of 130 people per year (shelled corn is about 56 pounds per bushel)
So a 1000 farm will feed the corn needs of about 13,000 Americans. Remember that is just 2.8% of what an American eats.
A well planned, well managed 10 acre farm can provide
"almost" all the food needs of about 20 Average Americans. (some things of course like coffee, bananas, chocolate etc are not practical for any farm). And thats eating typical amount of beef, pork, chicken etc.
Triple that for a vegetarian diet. So 1000 acres of
10 acre farms can meet the needs , nearly in full, of 2000 Americans.
I of course haven't suggested a damn thing, but the instinctive song and dance of you ideologues is amusing.
