Some things I recall.
We lost a lot of starting players from last years team.
He mentioned Misner as a star that would go high in the Mlb draft. They really needed to get protection for him in the lineup. They have been working to find the right hitters to put around him.
They got most of the best players from Missouri in the last class, but won’t in the next class. A player from the high school team he used to coach in STL was a really good recruit they have playing this year. The SEC schools are always looking to get the best Missouri high school players.
He said they’ve been successful getting really good players out of Minnesota. One I believe is a pitcher they are counting on this season. He jokingly said they weren’t liked very much by the Minnesota baseball coaches.
