Great week to be a Tiger fan but not a good week for the picks. Not only did the SEC officiating cost Ole Miss a chance to win at Vandy it also cost me a winning week of picks as that TD would’ve taken it over the total. Oh well, it was in OT so I shouldn’t complain to much. Short week so going to be quick with my picks. Here is how we stand on the year after our second losing week of the year.

SEC PICKS
MISSISSIPPI STATE -10.5 @ MISSISSIPPI (2 UNITS) – I hate to play road favorites in rivalry games like this but the Bulldogs are just better all around and most importantly on defense. Fitzgerald will have a big day the defense of the Bulldogs will disrupt the offense enough from Ole Miss. MISSISSIPPI STATE 38 MISSISSIPPI 23
GEORGIA -17 vs GEORGIA TECH (NO PLAY) – UGA is just rolling right now. However GT has won 4 in row now as well. Not to mention they have won their last 2 trips to the Hedges as well. I just think that UGA defense will be up to the task in this one. Line seems about right. GEORIGA 38 GEORGIA TECH 20
FLORIDA -5 @ FLORIDA STATE (2 UNITS) – I picked the FSU upset of BC last week and now they have a shot at a bowl game vs Florida this week. I expected Florida to struggle a little bit more last week. I think the Gators finish strong and take care of the Seminoles. FLORIDA 24 FLORIDA STATE 10
ALABAMA -24.5 vs AUBURN (NO PLAY) – Alabama has only beaten one SEC team by less than 24…can Auburn be the second? I’m not reading into the Citadel game much…when Bama wanted to play it was over. I really just don’t see how Auburn hangs with them other than this being the Iron Bowl and crazy things happen. Not going to play this one. ALABAMA 42 AUBURN 17
VANDERBILT -3.5 vs TENNESSEE (2 UNITS)- UT might dominate this rivalry historicly but Vandy has won the last 2 and 4 of the last 6 against their bigger brother. Both teams need this game to go bowling. Mason will have his troops fired up and he knows how big this game is to Vandy. All in all I think Vandy is the more complete team and there is a reason they are favored. VANDERBILT 34 TENNESSEE 24
SOUTH CAROLINA +26.5@ CLEMSON (2 UNITS) – Clemson has won the last for contests in this rivalry and really only one of them was close winning by 24,49,5,18. It seems all SC does this year is play in close games…not counting UTChatt their last 5 games have been decided by 2,3,3,4,4 points. I don’t think SC will have too much success on Clemson’s D but they will have some...I also like their D to slow down Clemson a bit. Clemson will win but not by more than 26. KENTUCKY -17 @ LOUISVILLE – (2 UNITS) – this Louisville team has quit…UK still trying to finish out strong. Tough for me to lay this many points with UK’s offense but UL’s defense is just that bad. Wildcats get revenge for last years home loss to the Cards. KENTUCKY 41 LOUISVILLE 17
TEXAS A&M -2.5 vs LSU – (NO PLAY) – I really have no idea in this game. I was thinking LSU here but the line is moving the other way. I just think the LSU D will be too much even on the road. LSU 24 TEXAS A&M 17
MIZZOU -22.5 vs ARKANSAS (NO PLAY) – Mizzou has won 3 of the 4 meetings with Arkansas since joining he SEC…however their largest margin of victory in those games is 7. Don’t get me wrong Arkansas is not good but they still play hard (including with opposing cheerleaders). The Mississippi State game is also misleading a bit..Arkansas had a chance to have that game 17-10 with 10 min left in the 3rd but had a penalty call back a TD. After that Arky had 2 turnovers that quickly turned into 14 points and all of the sudden it was 38-6. If Arkansas can limit the turnovers they can hang around in this game. Weather is also a little concerning as it looks like there could be some rain during the game (100% according to weather.com). In the end I think the Tigers are too much for the Hogs but 21 is just too many points here in my opinion to bet. Could it get out of hand with a turnover or 2…yes but not betting on it. Other games I like
IOWA -8 vs NEBRASKA (2 UNITS) – this line is now -10, still not buying the Huskers yet. Has their been improvement yes…but enough to win this game….no. Noah Fant after being in the doghouse had a big day against Illinois. He will have another one against the Huskers here. Rain could also be an issue here so that makes me lean Iowa even more…Huskers couldn’t hold to the ball Saturday and lucky MSU is just horrible on offense. IOWA 38 NEBRASKA 20
WASHINGTON STATE -3 vs WASHINGTON (2 UNITS) – Washington State is just playing too good right now. I think the Cougars finally get over the hump and get a win against the Huskies. WASHINGTON STATE 42 WASHINGTON 30
MICHIGAN -4 @ OHIO STATE (3 UNITS) – Ohio State just really isn’t all that great this year. Their D has been a mess and I think Michigan is going to control this game. I think Paterson will have a big day an the Wolverines will slow down Ohio State enough to get a comfortable win. MICHIGAN 38 OHIO STATE 23
NOTRE DAME -10.5 @ USC (5 UNITS) – This line should be closer to 14/17 points in my opinion. Irish have been impressive while USC has been all over the map. Irish D comes up big. NORTRE DAME 34 USC 13
WAKE FOREST +13 @ DUKE (2 UNITS) – The Blue Devils are a little beat up and WF has been playing decent as of late, getting a upset win on the road over NC State. I still think Duke is the better team…just not sure at this point they should be 13 points better than anyone. Should be a close game. DUKE 34 WAKE FOREST 28
