Nichols has enjoyed a truly brilliant career at Hillsboro High School and with the St. Louis Chaos. She was recently named to Missouri's Class 4A All-State team, and was an all-conference, all-district and all-region selection every year that she played for Hillsboro High School. She was also recently named the JCAA Conference Co-player of the year. Nichols chose Mizzou over Iowa.
