Recruited in the 2017 and 2018 classes. Very abnormal for any team much less a team with Mizzous track record. Desperation is one word for it, I'm sure there are others. Normal programs that aspire to top 20 status just don't do that. Then Coach Anderson, hired late, with no realistic opportunity to correct the failings of EE regarding the pitching situation, which resulted in Mizzou having the worst pitching staff in the SEC last year, brought in 4 more pitching transfers, plus one position player (Wert).

It's not surprising at all that several players transfer from the team to get more playing time elsewhere. The number of players here were just not sustainable. You may see more players transfer before, during, or after the 2019 season, and it probably won't mean anything. Just a numbers game. We need to hold on to all the quality players we have now, and they are all here. The ones who have left weren't expected to contribute.
