PT Anderson, Nolan, & Aronofsky are probably my personal top 3, in no particular order.
Wes Anderson has kinda grown into a caricature of himself, I haven't liked his last few films very much and the Coens seem to make 1 clunker for every great film that they make.
Seems like Fincher hasn't done much the last 5 or so years, he was on a roll there with Social Network, Zodiac, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and kinda dropped off a bit lately(looks like he's doing TV, and Mindhunter was good)
