I don't see much advantage in firing a college coach during the season unless the new coach is already on staff. I sure as hell don't want to go back to the dark ages when we kept firing coaches, but I don't see much alternative in this case. The only reason Sterk has to fire the coach with games left is to appease a ****ed off fanbase (of which I'm certainly one), but I'm not sure it really accomplishes anything other than that.
