Although there were some problems regarding his contract with Crvena Zvezda mts, Stefan Jankovic will continue his career with their arch-rival Partizan NIS, the club announced.
The 25-year-old has had a turbulent summer on the transfer market. He had a fallout with Crvena Zvezda – which believes they still hold the player’s rights – regarding their contract and even filed a lawsuit in order to nullify it and become a free agent.
Fuenlabrada has also officially shown interest in the player and there have been rumors circling that he would arrive to Partizan in form of a loan from the Spanish club but the official announcements don’t mention the fact.
Jankovic is immediately available to head coach Nenad Canak and it’s up to him to decide whether he will use him in the EuroCup game against ASVEL on Tuesday.
