Trump is not going to come out and bash the Crown Prince. he obviously feels that is counterproductive.
we can disagree on that strategy. personally, i don't care if trump condemns them or not publicly. we all already know that KSA is a terrible violator of human rights. nothing new to see here at all.
behind the scenes, it's being reported that Pompeo has taken a hard line against them and the treasury sec canceled an upcoming visit.
like it or not KSA has different rules and they designate, like Canada does, that the MB is a terror organization. Khashoggi was a MB member and supporter and imo propagandist. he was a threat to the Crown Prince and thus, in his mind, to KSA itself.
he benefited for YEARS from the royal family. and then he bit the hand that fed him and paid the price.
it was brazen and barbaric something that you'd see out of a Clancy novel maybe. so it's newsworthy and interesting but way overblown as far as international relations are viewed.
