I had to custom develop a database for a health (ish) type application, finished last year. There are great developers out there and unfortunately cost is dependent upon what features are in the project.

I think I ended up paying about $75k for mine, and about $10k of this was to figure out how to transport existing data from existing database to the new, which actually takes a little bit of time (and therefore expense).

EMR might be more expensive to knock out since there's federal regs you have to pay attention to. More requirements = more $.

Out of curiousity, what kind of therapists are we talking about?
