A program knowingly working with an outside source that is paying recruits to attend their school and one of those recruits will likely play this season.

It will be interesting to see this play out. They really cannot take down Kansas without taking down the rest of the blue bloods too. The NCAA faces the same problem the Fed did a few years back these schools are too big to fail from the NCAA’s standpoint.

The NCAA basically has two options here.

1. Ignore the whole thing and pretend that what was said in court, under oath is just hearsay by some guys trying to avoid prison.

2. Pick a couple of programs and make an example of them. For this to work they would have to lower the boom on them but then decide to scale it back to keep them quiet about it.

There is a third option that the NCAA will never consider. They could actually do a full and fair investigation and let the chips fall where they may. The reason they will never do this is becauseit could go way too deep. If they went after every program could they field 68 for a tourney this March?
