they present their arguments, and then the Senators vote using whatever "burden of proof" is in their heads.
Most will vote yay or nay based on whose party made the nomination.
Others will vote based upon how it will play in their constituency.
Few if any will vote based upon a standard of actual qualification and truthful examination of the evidence.
