We had our first winning week last weekend to improve to a (still pedestrian) 7-8 on the year ATS. It was a lot of fun (in an extremely stressful way) watching my favorite teams on Saturday and Sunday look like offensive juggernauts while showing no ability to stop a passing attack whatsoever. Still, MU is 3-0 and KC is 2-0 so consider me happy.

While I am busy as always I think I will expand my number of picks this week. It's a pretty attractive set of games.

I got accused last week of picking MIZZOU "every single week" on these picks, to which I had to respond, "did you notice I played the over this week and not a side?". That was the best play last week although those folks holding tickets on MU were frustrated when Coach Odom elected to play for the three point win instead of a seven point win. (It was the right strategy and even though there is very little rhyme or reason to it I am glad to see us go for more fourth downs this year).

This week Georgia is sitting aa a 14 point favorite which strikes me as about right. I watched enough of them last week to be extremely impressed. If I had to take a side I'd probably still lean UGA but they do only have one sack on the year (good for MU) and the MU pass defense is horrible (not so good). Still, the Tigers should have a punchers chance in this one. The offense last week continued to be extremely impressive even with Hall out injured most of the game and I really like how poised the offense has appeared this year. So I'm pretty confident that this offense which put up 21 in the first half last year vs. UGA will have some success. I'm less confident in the defense. Again OVER 64.5 is the right play here as 45-31 ish sounds about right.

I hate that the STANFORD (-2) line has moved so much but Oregon has not played anyone and they haven't looked good. With Love appearing to be back I think the Cardinal win fairly easily.

Vanderbilt may have been the better team vs. Notre Dame last week. With WAKE FOREST (+7.5) getting significant points at home, I'll take my chances.

ARMY (+31) should be able to run enough clock and frustrate OU enough to cover. This may be my favorite play of the week actually.

Tennessee just isn't very good. I think I have seen enough of that team to feel confident about that. I know it's the big rivalry but I like FLORIDA (-4.5) to win this one going away.

OLE MISS (-28.5) will be licking wounds after a frustrating week last week. They seem to be interested in padding stats whenever possible. In a game with Kent State, it will be. I'll give the points here.

Let me close out with a Friday night game. Florida Atlantic could not compete with OU whatsoever. Central Florida isn't quite there athletically but they have enough talent returning and a coach determined to run it up. Give me UCF -13.5.

That's all for this week! Good luck to your (non Bulldog) team!
