I'm not impressed with most of the coaches coming from the Keady tree. However though criticized for his short stints at previous stops I think Cal was a growth experience for him. He got to rub shoulders, be at practices, and get familiar with the best the best basketball team on the planet. That changed his offensive mindset. So the Mizzou job opening up, the Porters interest in returning home and the rising talent level in this state was a fortuitous perfect storm of an opportunity for him to change his philosophy. So he didn't bring any of his coaches but hired new ones to achieve that end. That's why in one of his first interviews when he sighted the offensive style he wanted to employ I was very curious. Then he hired Mann to confirm it. We have to remember though he's been coaching 10 years he's still relatively young. He still has a long way to go but I am very encouraged by the 1st years results and the recruiting so far.
