We were a poor ball handling team last year

That was not exclusive to the point guard spot. I still contend Jordan Barnett really hurt the teams ability to break pressure and initiate offense. You couldn’t play the ball back on a reversal and expect him to attack the middle of the floor. Cassius was the only other player and when either one of JG or Cassius was on the bench, teams felt their was a very limited risk of being beaten if they extended a trap and rightfully so.
I don’t expect that to be the case this year. I hope we actually have a team of quality handlers in the backcourt that teams will have to honor. All capable of supporting on a reversal or flashing middle and have the ability to turn and attack the back side. The threat alone should take some of the individual pressure off the pg spot
