Dave I’ve coached on travel select, AAU and high school levels for years.
Until you do something like that, you have no idea the work and sacrifice that is put in by all involved, including the players and coaches families.

I’ve had teams win tournaments and championships, but the most satisfied if ever been was a tourney that one of my select travel teams finished second. We had no business even placing in that event due to the level of competition in Dallas Texas. My kids were incredible that week and it was nothing short of awesome. I still don’t know how we pulled that off other than pure determination.

You have no idea what it takes to win and advance on a competitive level.
