It isn't up to me to define what is a huge mistake for someone else, I believe the question posed you were referring to was if I was in his hypothetical shoes would I personally leave for this draft. In terms of establishing a long term NBA career he is leaving college at the most inopportune time available to him. Its certainly possible he achieves one in spite of that regardless.
