knows that I'm kind of a nut when it comes to defense. So this is not a move I would have made. Nor would I wait until the postseason to start juggling positions.
Although Fogue said on the air that her intent was to get another slap hitter into the lineup, I can't help but think that her other concern was the lack of production from Moore. Edwards has more pop in her bat than Moore, of course, but she's a train wreck behind the plate. Hence, the move to put Pierce behind the plate.
I think Fogue simply decided she was going to sacrifice defense for offense.
