The question is the methodology used to keep all of scripture in proper context. Picking a verse here and there, which may appear to say something it does not, because of taking the verse(s) out of context is not a good way to build a systematic theology which encompasses the whole of scripture. Each statement and verse needs to be kept in context of the passage from which it is taken, and in conjunction with all other verses/passages on the subject, and all interpretations which cause conflict between the verses must be rejected, because scripture doesn't contradict itself.
