“As for what he hopes to add by the deadline, Martin said, “guards and wings.”
“We’ve got to get guys that are decision-makers, guys that have the ability to score the ball, guys that can make shots,” Martin said. “And when I say guards and wings, I mean those (who play) the 1-4 positions.”
On the 6-foot-7 Liddell: “He can be special, man. His upside is tremendous, because he’s a tweener. He’s stretching his game out. He’s shooting the trail 3-pointer. You’re talking about an athlete, a defensive nightmare. He does it all. In the long run, you can compare him to a Draymond Green-type player.”
On the 6-2 McKinney: “He’s a spark plug. You better fasten your seatbelt, because it’s going to be a ride with him. I think he’s going to be a combo guard at the end, but he’s a Ping-Pong ball, man. He’s all over the place.”
And the 6-10 Okoro: “He’s a grown man. He’s probably the anchor to the ship. He does everything defensively. Offensively, he’s still learning the game. He’s only been playing for four to five years, but his ceiling is super high. This kid can flat out rebound the basketball.”
On the 6-6 Hargrove: “Athlete. Pogo-stick. He’s still learning the game and learning to be better defensively. This, the EYBL, will be really good for him.”
