The putting the ball into play thing is no longer taught in baseball. I agree with you- there's a ton of value in not striking out for a number of reasons- but bat speed and launch angle are more sought out instead of contact hitting. I don't like it, but until someone elects me God, not much I can do about it.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
