as much as they are pitching right through her. It seems like she is getting hit almost as much as she is getting unintentionally intentionally walked. Think she got hit two more times last night. It's getting ridiculous.

Yes, Amanda needs much more support behind her, and that starts with the veterans. Someone needs to start hitting with runners on base. Pierce and Nash stranded 9 runners on base yesterday, that's ridiculous.

And it hurts that we havnt had more of the freshmen step up and contribute in a big way. That was a key to the season, and it just hasn't happened. The exception of course is Wilmes who has been much better than advertised. She came in with the second tier of recruits in terms of expectations. But we have gotten very little of consequence from the 3 highest touted freshmen position players, Bailey, Martin, and Edwards. Martin is hitting .242, Edwards .204, and Bailey was hitting .048, 1-21, before her season ended with the injury. Those three may all end up being very good, even great players here, but we are getting nothing from them this year.

And yes the Miss State SS was outstanding, a huge contrast. Has a gun for an arm. We got spoiled by 4 years of Genovese fielding that position, and we need to have a really good fielder there, and I'm losing confidence it is ever going to be Burnside.
