#7 TAMU, 24-3 on the season, was stunned at home by a 10-15 UConn team, 6-1. Go figure. Has to be one of the biggest upsets of the season.
#4 Tennessee moves to 27-1 with blowout wins over North Dakota and Hawaii.
Another big weekend coming up for the conference, which has 5 teams ranked in the top 10, 11 teams in the top 25, plus Arkansas receiving votes. Series this weekend are:
#2 Florida @ #10 Georgia
#12 Alabama @ #14 Auburn
#18 SC @ #23 Ole Miss
#8 LSU @ #24 Kentucky
#21 Miss State @ Missouri
Somethings got to give in Athens. Georgia leads the SEC by a wide margin in hitting, team average of .381, while Florida leads with a team ERA of 0.59, having given up only 14 runs and 12 earned runs all season in 23 games. Georgia also happens to be second in the SEC in pitching, with a team ERA of 0.70. Georgia lost their second game of the season to Oregon and has now won 23 straight, padding their record and stats against an awful schedule. Not convinced they are the 10th best team in the nation, especially after barely beating Arkansas in two 1 run games, at home, last weekend. Could be close games but I'll be surprised if Florida doesn't sweep them.
