Better than “good“. He had very good movement on his fastball and his changes and curves had WS off-balance all night. If he is our “mid-week“ guy, I would think we are in good shape.
Two observations. First, need to do a better job with pitch selection in situations with runners in scoring position. Especially, when there are less than two outs. Second, need to do a better job shutting the door. The fact that we had a huge lead at the time kept situation from becoming overly tense. I wouldn’t feel comfortable going into the late innings with a one or two run lead if that’s the best we can do.
