Race is not an issue to some, but it is to others. This can't hurt the recruitment of African-American prospective student-athletes, nor can it hurt the false perception that this program/university is not a racially inclusive environment. I don't know this for a fact, but I would guess we are one of the few staffs with that many African-American coaches.
