up year after year. It makes sense that if they were truly about the tax cuts they wouldn't be a one-time bonus. I'm betting it's probably a one-time deal for most of these companies to get PR and say "Hey, look! Tax cuts work!" while future years will see the majority of the increased revenue going to stock buybacks and stuff that will help the investment class.
Either way it's smart for these companies. They can take 10% of the money they are saving and get some free PR by giving it to their employees and then bank the other 90%.
