No Mizzou, we are off until next Thursday night when we go to Ole Miss, one of the worst 3 teams in the conference. But there are some good games today.

The headliner is of course #6 Tennessee at #9 South Carolina. Big implications for national seeding; one of these teams is going to come away with a huge signature win. SCs Aja Wilson is gimpy with a sprained ankle from Thursday night, her status may determine the outcome. Not sure even at home if they can beat UT without Wilson at or near 100%. UT is in the middle of a killer stretch where they are at #17 TAMU, at #9 SC, at #2 Notre Dame, and at home against #4 Miss State. They started out 15-0, then lost a really tough one to TAMU in overtime Thursday night. Tough one to call today.

The other interesting game today is Georgia at #17 TAMU. Georgia is 15-2 now and is considered a strong probability to get the 6th NCAA bid for the conference; they are a young team on the rise, with a really good coach. But they really havnt proved much this year. They have piled up a lot of wins but don't have anything close to what you would call a signature win. They have played just 2 top 25 teams, got both of them at home, but were blown out by both #4 Miss State and #7 Texas. They got a real break on their SEC schedule, playing the 5 top 25 SEC teams only once each, and playing conference doormats Vandy, Ole Miss, and Florida twice each. So they are going to finish with a lot of wins, and could get an NCAA seed anywhere in the 6-10 range. Their RPI rank is now up to 26 this morning, and they are getting the 5th most points in the human poll among teams not ranked. But they have yet to prove they can hang win, much less beat, a really good team. They get another chance today against TAMU, a team that could crack the top 15 in Monday's poll.

In the other games, Miss State should handle Alabama easily at home, and LSU and Auburn, the other SEC teams who may be on the NCAA bubble, need to win to help their causes, LSU at Florida and Auburn at home against Arky.
