Only positive might be that he's in the driver seat for the HC job if Morris doesn't work out.

Venables must be tarnished in some way. He's this defensive mastermind but can't ever get an HC job. Is he just turning jobs down or is there something more?

If MU were looking for a coach, I'd be rooting for Venables to be the guy.
