And although I lean more towards “natural” healing ... I’d be an idiot if I dismissed the advancement of health science and where it is today.

No doubt he made the best long term decision for himself - as he should - and if this surgery works and he is stabilized for a long term career, playing an actual year of college ball could be a very good thing for him.
