For too many people, it’s about dollar signs. Unfortunately, 99% of those that lead with the almighty dollar at the top of their pyramid - not just professional athletes, everyone - fall like a deck of cards.
Ok 99% may be an exaggeration, but majority.
Something else has to drive you. In this case, I’d suggest the game itself - Basketball - and being the best, and lasting the longest. The money will just follow.
If you compromise and go for the quick grab, or what you think will get you the most amount of money as your #1 priority, you’re destined to fail imo.
