They just put out stock formula movies, as evidence by the whole comic book character craze.
It is a sad industry. Well past its prime.
As far as Hollywood's politics, they have been willing participants in pro military propaganda for my entire life. For every anti war movie (and there have been precious few), you get scores of pro-military, pro-war movies.
