I'd be doing whatever I could to make the most of my few remaining games, but hey, that's me. If they prefer to quit and be hang-dogs, then that's just sad. Not specific to the kid you're talking about, but just in general.

Speaks to the lack of leadership on the team. If the coaches are bad, you figure that out and take charge.
