Royals need Perez back. He is a big part of the team (offense and defense). They also need the bullpen to do better than they did against the Redbirds.
Cardinals are competing against 4 teams for the central division crown. The winner of that race is pretty much a toss up. The Cubs are still the favored team, but they've proven to be just pretty mediocre. Cubs pitching staff is not nearly as good this year.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Royals in a close wild card race thru the end of the season. Cards division is very winnable but they haven't played well enough to be very confident.
