Depending on which defender you talk to insert the following excuse:

1. Situations was so bad when KA got here even Wooden wouldn't be doing better at this point
2. Dude, that was a moral victory and sign of improvement because we didn't get waxed
3. There is no talent on this team, no one could do better with this talent
4. He can't get the players he wants because of NCAA issues
5. Things are improving, he just needs more time, like maybe another 3-5 years
6. No fan support, so how can you expect the team to win
7. He is the only coach in the whole world that wants to coach here, so we better keep him

I could go on, but I don't want to.
