And further indicts that the posters that criticize us for not having more 4 star rated players.

I read somewhere a few years ago that Rivals and other ratings services had adjusted their criteria for 4 and 5 stars, essentially reducing the number.

3 stars are kids are recruits that already have the skills/talent to play major college football. The key is to get 3 star kids who have a higher ceiling that has been overlooked. We have a pretty decent track record there, and it needs to continue.

I also appreciated the article saying that there is less margin for error pursuing this strategy. We've certainly experienced that, with players getting kicked off for bad behavior coupled with transfers and retirements. Marcus Loud probably blew his shot to play in the NFL, and we've lost multiple offensive linemen and others due to injury that we could ill afford.
