considering her skill sets. She probably works harder than anyone on the team and is always hustling. I don't understand though why more teams don't try and isolate her on defense and back her down close to the basket. Clearly Pingeton feels more comfortable starting her even though she is not much of a threat on offense, then bringing in the scorers (Smith and Chavis) off the bench. I'm thinking more to the future, and wishing Smith and Chavis would get more minutes this year so they are better prepared to make bigger contributions next year. I'm starting to like them both more. Chavis could be the Morgan Eye type 3 point specialist every team needs. And Smith is impressive for her all around game, she shoots well from outside and can also operate around the basket down low. Although she's going to have trouble operating inside against the likes of Tennessee, SC, and MSU. She could have posted up all night and scored at will against that hapless Arky defense.
Watching SC and Miss State last night was a reminder of how much those 2 teams have seperated from the rest of the conference. I'll be shocked if either of them loses to any of the other 12 conference teams this year.
